Heavy vehicle licence component will be undertaken by CTM Training Solutions as the Vic Roads approved service provider. Students wishing to participate in this component will be subject to Vic Roads eligibility criteria.

Driving Operations Short Course Details:
- 5 Day Course (9am-3.30pm Monday to Friday)
- Brooklyn (Western Suburbs), Somerton (Northern Suburbs) and Hallam (South-East Suburbs) locations.
Driving Operations Short Course Units:
- Carry out vehicle inspection
- Load and unload cargo
- Secure cargo
- Interpret road maps and navigate pre-determined routes
- Workplace communication
- Work effectively with others
- Apply fatigue management strategies
Medium Rigid (MR) Truck Licence Information:
A Medium Rigid 2 axle vehicle, also know as MR class, includes buses and trucks greater then 8 tonnes GVM. Any towed trailer must not weigh more than 9 tonnes GVM. In order to get your MR truck licence in Victoria, you must have held an Australian car licence for at least 12 months.
TAFT (Truck and Forklift Training) is a division of SETsolutions. This training is delivered with State and Commonwealth funding (if applicable). SETsolutions ensures all training and assessment is delivered in accordance with VET Standards and adheres to the principles of access and equity in order to maximise learning outcomes.
